Seizure. Kathy Reichs

Seizure. Kathy Reichs - Kathy Reichs I really enjoy Kathy's style of writing. Her new Virals adventure was excellent, although I did put it aside for a while. Got caught up with other books & projects. But once I picked it up again, I devoured the rest of the book. I liked how the villian is an unexpected twist to the story. The evolvement & enlightenment of the characters really brings them to life. I'm really hoping that Kathy has another adventure for the Virals, as I would like to follow them growing up into adults.

The Lord's Forced Bride (Historical Romance)

The Lord's Forced Bride (Historical Romance) - Anne Herries, Herries It was lighthearted. Not the normal time period I read, but made a nice change. Would be interested in reading the previous book written about the family.

Doctor Who And The Crusaders

Doctor Who And The Crusaders - David Whitaker I enjoyed the story although very different from the modern Dr Who series that I started with. This first Dr is a little boring, & the story revolves more around his companions.

Damia - Anne McCaffrey I got quite emotional at times, having to wipe away tears. More so for this, the second book, than the Rowan. I could not put the book down though, reading straight through until it was finished. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

The Aliens Among Us

The Aliens Among Us - James White Prefer the Sector General stories, but these were also interesting.

Star Healer

Star Healer - James White Further adventures of Conway & his friends. It was good to see how each character has developed.

Dragon's Fire

Dragon's Fire - Anne McCaffrey, Todd J. McCaffrey Enjoyed as usual. Although I felt D'Gan came across as wrong. I had read a later book with him as a character & he was not as villianous to my mind. But then he was older so maybe had mellowed.

Red Star Rising: More Chronicles Of Pern

Red Star Rising: More Chronicles Of Pern - Anne McCaffrey I enjoyed the multiple story lines, seeing potentials for more books based on each character.
The shift away from technology also was well explained, & the 'future' books made more sense.

Dragonsdawn (Pern: Dragonriders of Pern, #6)

Dragonsdawn (Pern: Dragonriders of Pern, #6) - Anne McCaffrey

I enjoyed reading the beginnings. A lot of loose ends were tied up for me. As to the differences and similarities of the dragons and fire lizards. Why southern was abandoned. Looking forward to reading the conclusion when the riders return to space.

The Chronicles of Pern: First Fall

The Chronicles of Pern: First Fall - Anne McCaffrey I enjoyed the early stories as it gave a feal of where the current stories characters get their strengths from. Also leaves a few openings for new stories, so that is exciting. Got me eager to read more on the beginning of the world & its fledging dragons. I was told to read Dragon's Dawn for that, so off to find it.

Ink Exchange

Ink Exchange - Melissa Marr Just finished reading "Ink Exchange" by Melinda Marr. Enjoyed her style of writing, as well as the story. Now to track down her first book "Wicked Lovely" & see what else she has released.

PartnerShip - Anne McCaffrey, Margaret Ball I really enjoyed Partnership. Read it in one day, as I couldn't put it down.

The Looking Glass Wars

The Looking Glass Wars - Frank Beddor Still haven't managed to get back in to finish.
Now discovered it is a trilogy. So have bought book 2. Now to find book 3.

Se'chasingwa's Song

Se'chasingwa's Song - Diana Mary Minnaar My mother's first published book. I was enthralled by her clarity & vision.
This is a story of coping with grief. In this dual tale, loss of a brother in the late 20th centuary, versus the loss of a husband in the bc tribe of the San. A combination of past life visions reveal the way forward.
Aimed at teenagers, it is still an excellent read for adults as well.
